The trek follows designated trails through dry forest and open savannah, where guests may encounter Komodo dragons in their natural habitat. Rangers provide insight into the behaviour, habitat, hunting patterns, and conservation of this remarkable species.
The island is also home to other wildlife, including Timor deer, wild boar, water buffalo, tropical birds, and smaller reptiles. Sightings depend entirely on natural conditions, and all walks are conducted under the supervision of trained park rangers.
Following the wildlife experience, the excursion continues by boat to Pink Beach, one of the national park’s most distinctive coastal landscapes. The beach is known for its softly coloured sand, created by a natural mixture of white coral sand and fragments of red marine organisms.
